This magnet segmentation technique involves dividing neodymium iron boron blocks into multiple pieces and bonding them together with insulating adhesive. Afterwards, grind these glued together blocks into their final shape. This special motor magnet is mainly used to reduce eddy current losses, which means lower temperatures and higher efficiency.
